DINOSAUR EXPLORE!!

By Dawn Simmons - DWA Macaroni Kid Publisher/Editor March 23, 2017

Downtown-West Atlanta Macaroni Kid enjoyed the day walking with the dinosaurs at Dinosaur Explore at Stone Mountain Park.  If you are a true paleontologist you will love this new exhibit.  We were wowed by the movement and sounds of the dinosaurs and actually got to get up close and personal with a few.

About Dinosaur Explore….

Extinct from Earth for millions of years, 15 species of prehistoric dinosaurs are making their way to Stone Mountain Park. “Dinosaur Explore” will open March 30 and run throughout the 2017 season. The prehistoric creature collection features more than 20 life-size dinosaurs with special effects allowing them to move and roar just like their ancient ancestors. Families will find their favorites among them including the giant Tyrannosaurus Rex, often referred to as the king of the dinosaurs. Two gentle, plant-eating brachiosaurus will tower above guests over 20 feet tall and 33 feet long. The collection also includes the three-horned triceratops, a ferocious allosaurus, a winged pteranodon and many more scientifically accurate species.

Dinosaur Explore features 20 dinosaurs representing 14 species, T. rex meet and greets, baby dinosaur interactions and a dino dig play area. Inside the all-new, indoor Dinotorium experience, guests will interact with dino rangers, learn about different dinosaur habitats, visit the Dino Nursery, interact with baby dinosaurs and play games. Kids can join in the learning fun by becoming junior dino rangers.

If you are an Ice Age fan you will enjoy the debut at the park March 30 is the loveable herd from Ice Age in the new “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs™ 4D Experience.” Sid, Manny, Diego and the rest of the crew embark on an action-packed adventure when they discover a lost world of dinosaurs.
