NBA 2017 DRAFT

We had a BLAST!!

By Dawn Simmons - Downtown-West Atlanta Macaroni Kid Publisher/Editor June 28, 2017

My favorite 6th grade/ 12U team Elite 2.0 White (formerly GA United Showtime) had the privilege of attending the Atlanta Hawks 2017 NBA Draft Party at the College Football Hall of Fame and it was a BLAST!!  The excitement of the event would have caused sensory overload for the average ball player, but they were so proud to be invited and fantasizing of the day when they will be “Live” in the draft themselves, that it was a walk in the park for them.

There were different activities including bean bag toss on the football field and of course basketball that kept us occupied between draft pick announcements.  The food was plentiful and delicious and the drinks (for us adults) were plentiful.

Touring the College Football Hall of Fame was did not disappoint.  Any football fan would be in football heaven with all the memorabilia it boasted.

Now…. if you didn’t notice…. We are now Elite 2.0 White.  Keep an eye out on the story of our growth and the new things on the horizon for US.

And yes we actually did pay attention to the draft picks and here is a recap….
