The Color Purple… The Musical
There is nothing that I can say other than OMG!!! This performance was by far the BEST musical I have seen this year. Fifth Third Bank and Broadway in Atlanta is having a bang up season at the Fox Theater.
The Color Purple traces the years of hardship faced by African American women in the South in the first half of the 20th century, including poverty, sexism, racism, rape, incest and domestic violence.

These talented actors PERFORMED. They brought this musical to life with their brilliant performances. The entire cast left nothing to be desired in this rendition of the novel written by Alice Walker and the Warner Brothers/Amblin Entertainment Motion Picture.
