So much, in fact, that our city was ranked ninth on WalletHub’s 2017 list of Most Pet-Friendly U.S. Cities. But did you know there are several dog-friendly places to snack, sleep and walk, right in the heart of Downtown Atlanta?
The Centennial Park District, located Downtown, is Atlanta’s premier entertainment district, where locals and tourists come together. It’s home to some of the most iconic spots in the southeast... and there’s lots here for Georgia pooches, too.
Here are a few spots that pups and their humans can hang out together in the Centennial Park District:
· Centennial Olympic Park: You might have heard that this popular city park is being renovated, but don’t worry! A lot of the park is open, including the famous five-ring fountain. With these record-breaking temps we’re having so late in the year, we won’t blame you if you both want to splash around a little.
· Der Biergarten: This German-style beer garden is the only one of its kind in the city, and dogs are welcome on its spacious upstairs patio! This authentic spot serves German fare while providing world-class service in a festive, traditional atmosphere. Humans can choose from a broad range of German draft beers.
· Home2 Suites by Hotel Hilton: Spending the night? This polished 1917 building is all suites, meaning lots of space for furry friends.
